Hibersense
hibersense is an IoT company that is developing a smart home climate control system, monitoring each individual room by tracking data within each room such as occupancy, temperature, and humidity.
this is done by using a central smart hub that interacts with individual automated vents that control airflow to each room ensuring comfort and energy efficiency.
as an intern in the early stages of the company's development, I was tasked with designing, assembling, 3D printing, and testing automated vents for a university client.
one project had me designing a system to work within a circular ceiling duct.
i 3D prototyped a few designs to fit the space.
and tested the prototypes, ensuring that the sensors interacted with the hub properly and that the vents responded by opening and closing when necessary.
